I keep running the JBM / Miller twist programs for the 311365 @ 1.27" and the 311299 @ 1.195", driving them at 1100 FPS {special use} and I keep comming up with 1-11 twist as the best. I even SWAGed the BC @ .300 and figuring the speed at 200 yds. both are still "in the green zone" .
Am I missing something ??

I run 1:8 in all my sub guns. Never know when you want to run a heavy in it.

I've got 1-8 & 1-8.5 bbls for my Contender, I'm not getting the accucary at 100 yds, I think I should with the 1-8 Bbl. {very long throat} [just got the 1-8.5], I've got some 1100 +- loads for a 30-30, with a 1-10 [another Contender Bbl.] and will test it with the two bullets listed, to see I get at 100 yds.

1:8 is for 240 grn SMK subsonic - I have gotten 1:10 and 1:11 to shoot J-word subsonic up to 180 grains without problem - the 200 where iffy - some days did well other days not so much -
Each gun I tried seemed to have a mind of it's own when it came to subsonic - never found one that wouldn't shoot some just too a lot of experimenting.
