H110/296 and 2400 are very popular. Are any of you playing with the newer powders like enforcer, lil gun, 300mp, 4100, etc?

I'm really liking AA9.

From my understanding ( and I could be wrong ) 4100 is enforcer !

Vihtavuori powder is always a good choice. N110, N120, N320, N340 & N350. AA1680 is also a good powder when compressed for the 50's, but it will produce a bolt of lightning from the end of your barrel.

Although 296 is one of my all time favorites. I still use 2400, Lil Gun and appreciable amount of AA#9.

lil gun is way awesome. i tell you the truth, its a ultra hot burner. it doesn't warm the barrel, it almost feels like the rifle powders hot.

I've been playing with enforcer lately and just bought my second pound the other day. it's slower than 2400 and a much softer recoil. So far I really like it but I also have been told that I aint right

AA9 is a magnum pistol powder of note and worth, but I still use 2400.

2400 kinda leads the pack for me, but WW-296 and AA-9/WC-820 get some use as well. The versatility of 2400 wins out--410 shotshells, cast boolit rifle loads, and cast mag-rev loads. I use about 7-8 pounds per year.

I agree. I have had similar results in .357.

My short use of Lil'Gun has shown it has less pressure but is HOT, HOT burning, turning a barrel into a soldering iron. I do not want to subject my barrels to the heat.
