Hello dear friens.
I have a old semiautomatic pistol Beretta model 51 chambered for .30 Luger (7,65 Parabellum). I use to cast the boolits the lee 311-93-1R and the bullets drop out of the mould at 88 grs but this non is the problem.
The question is: Can I size this boolits with the sizer che I use for the .308W that have a hole of .309?
Thanks in advance
Nino

Yes, but it is a light boolit for the 308.

you might slug the bore and make sure 309 will work for you, for cast .001 over bore size is the best place to start.

The 309 sizer will work if thats the size the gun needs.

Yeah, Stub, but he's using it in the 30 Luger. Slug your barrel and measure. Then and only then will you know how big to size your boolit.

You can measure the bore using a lead ball. 00 buckshot at .33" (8.38mm) is good to start with.

With a plastic hammer, pound the lead ball into the rifling from the muzzle. Use a brass rod to push it all the way through the barrel. The diameter of the slug will measure the same as the groove diameter of your barrel.

Cast bullets should be .001" (0.2mm) larger that the grooves.

For this cartridge, it might be good to cast the bullets from a hard alloy.
