If they don't you can always reform 32-20 brass down to 25-20; not fun, but it will work just as well. LLS

I have no idea on the brass, but my preference is to use 32-20 Winchester brass as my Marlin classic has a little overlong shoulder. The new W brass forms easily and I can set the die for a good chamber fit. New brass lasts longer that way.

After first firing I anneal, then neck size only for 257420 seating depth and despite HV loads have very good case life. R-P brass appears to be softer when new, and Starline 32-30 harder and I had a lot of case failures sizing the Starline down and on first firing.

The reforming is very EASY with W brass and is worth the effort unless you have a minimum spec SAAMI chamber.

they generally do their limited runs in the spring.

We only seem to see Remington ammo and brass in 25/20 out here. I could buy and post you some if you liked, but our prices would make you keel over!

I bought a bunch of 25-20 R-P brass and I'm having the problem of the necks blowing out. Reading the threads I'm a true believer that R-P brass is to soft. I'll be resizing some 32-30 into 25-20. Does anybody know if I need a special reforming die or can I just use my 25-20 sizing die to reform? Thanks

I had a pair of Marlin's in 25-20 a couple years ago .

One was a circa 1901 rifle with a 24" barrel and the other was a 1894CL from the 80's . I used regular old Winchester brass in both with no problems once I learned that you cannot just ham hand resize this stuff . Also that you need to expand the case mouths a bit , I had a hand held tool made to do this with on both the 25-20 and 218 Bee .

HI,
If you really love the gun & cartridge, I would just place an order for a 1,000 cases.:Fire::Fire:

I used the seating die in my Lyman set for an intermediate step. I was forming nickle plated R-P cases, it was all I could find when I first got my rifle.

I used STP for lube, but I think Imperial Sizing Die wax would be a lot easier; and possibly save you a case or two.

Make absolutely sure the mouth of the case is round before attempting to reform a .32-20 into a .25-20 or you will have a crease in the neck.

I think I lost about eight or nine cases out of one hundred when I did it.

It might be easier to expand .218 Bee cases?
