220 gr SWCGC 41 mag mold on order, need a load

Just ordered a 220gr gc mold. I am hoping they will fall around 215 or so with my alloy. Anybody shooting anything like this? Any recipes to start with? I want em hot for hunting.

Need more info. What mold, Rifle, revolver, Cylinder throat dia., slugged rifle bore? Your alloy?

more 411 would help-- with a Lyman 410459 220 gr-sized .410 weigh 225 as cast 20 gr of 296 -- mine will use some what more-
AA#9 17+ gr does well
800x 11 gr
- I have used those loads in many .41 Smiths DWA- Blackhawk - Redhawk - TC and a tracker-- although with the tracker I had to cut back becasue I was using ,41 brass lenght-- milage will vary now how about some 411

I load and shoot a 220gr TCGC, 215gr RFN plain base, and a 215gr SWCGC. I have used 17.8grs of LilGun and 20 grs of 296 for hunting type loads with the GC boolits. The 296 has a slower recoil in my Ruger SBH Hunter than the LilGun. Velocity is very close with my loads, although more velocity can be had with Lil Gun.
Accuracy is great with either powder.

10grs of Blue Dot works well for miid-range loads.

Cast mine with the same mold that GLynn41 uses. 223gr once sized and lubed with the mix I am using.

10.0 grains of HS6 Is what I normally use for target, everyday use.

I don't load my 41 HOT.
I use a 44 for that,
But if I were, I'd use leadman's advice to start with.
