The match was yesterday. The results I saw posted yesterday said I came in 14th. Those posted this afternoon say I came in 5th:

I believe they will eventually have posted the make/model of firearm used by contestants. I used a Swiss K31, and the ammo I used was reloaded Swiss cases with PMC Berdan primers, WC852 and 168gr Nosler bullets.

Well, at least I see I didn't come in last! #355 of 451, thanks to that fellow who cross fired me an X and saved me from a miss. I'd put one into the top of the frame as the target was going down on rapid fire. I was shooting a 92/96 Krag using the Eagan MX3-30AR at 2125fps. I think I had the pressure up a little too high for the alloy, as the bullet has done better at a lower load density. Nujudge, they probably had to sort the vintage people out from the Springfield scores. That may be the reason for the change in place. That may change again as they were shooting today too!

Awesome shooting NuJudge! I have won a number of local and Swiss medals with my
K31, using Graf cases, IMR4064 or H4831SC and Sierra 175 Matchkings.

In that company, finishing 5th is extremely impressive, Congratulations!

Awesome shooting!

I hope to make it to Perry next year during my "down time" from deployments if my next Army job can clear the time for it.

I'm torn between using my Winchester P14 in 303 Brit or a Turk Mauser 1938 model in 8mm Mauser. Both will rip the center out of a 200yard Highpower target with Jacketed bullets but I'd like to develop a 200 yard boolit load for both so I have my work cut out for me this winter while I work those projects out.

Well, done - Z-W ! I would rank the '03 Springfield, K31, Finn M28 and Swedish Mauser as
the most accurate milsurps that I own.

What kind of accuracy are you getting with the carbine?

I came in somewhere around 100 and got a bronze with my Gewehr 88/05/35 Turk conversion rifle. 267 3X. Shot a 220 gr Hornady spire point over 38 gr of 4064. I kept it mild for the old girl.

The load shoots better than I do though.

I tried like heck to get a good cast load for the gun worked up but with 3 molds I had no luck in doing better than 6" at 100; whereas the jacketed load above does 2.25" from a bench.

I received a beat up NPM from the CMP. It went right in the safe and I was disappointed. I took it out a couple times and man it could shoot. I don't shoot off the bench. if I do my part, it will hit the 10 ring every time. This rifle really shoots. I've own several others and this one is the best. It loves:

Remington 110 FMJ
15.0 296
Magtech primers
any case

I'm impressed that someone can get a Carbine to shoot.

The M1 Carbine I have, has some rear sight issues that it displayed during the Carbine match. Right after the Carbine match I took it to the Fulton Armory hut in Commercial Row and had them replace the rear sight. It will be awhile until I get to test it.

check this out for accuracy improvement. It's important the barrel floats in the stock channel. I also touched up the crown.
I prefer the type III sight. I replaced all the type II sights, too much slop.
