OK, the big one appears to be a Rowell bottom pour ladle. As I recall, it is or was the last time I checked, sold by the Car Mover Company that sells a device to help move RR cars in a switch yard etc.
I use a smaller version for casting, and find it is by far the best ladle I have ever used.
I suspect the fellow has an inflated sense of value, and the big one would have limited use for most of us.
Rowell ladles come in a fairly broad range of sizes, up to a two man type used in foundry work.
As I recall, been awhile since I bought it, I have the next to the smallest version.
Keep em coming!

I ended up with a small one. It has a dam on one side and pours real nice. I wanted the big one kind of as a novelty but he wasn't willing to accept what I was willing to offer.

That is a Rowell ladle. Hard to tell the size from the photo; but the #5 ladle is a 5" bowl, 9# capacity 24" handle, $44.00 from Rotometals. A #6 ladle is a 6" bowl, 18# capacity, 29" handle, $57.00 from Rotometals.
