I just purchased this mold on EBITE and am wondering if anyone here has used it in their 41 Mag. I have a Taurus titanium tracker that it will be used in. I have cast a lot of lee bullets with LLA in my 357 caliber guns but have not used any in this gun. Is this an original Keith Design or a copy? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

It is not an Elmer design, but it seems to be a good bullet. Shorter nose, longer body than 410459. Both seem to shoot about equally well in my guns.

Welcome aboard, Mel!

No "hands-on" with the RCBS mold you mention, but I've used several 210 grain SWC plain-based designs in my Blackhawk x 6.5" and a buddy's M-57 x 4". All designs--commercial renditions and my own #410032 castings--have shot very well from 800-1100 FPS. I have used 7.5 grains of Unique and 8.0 grains of Herco for about 90% of my 41 Magnum shooting. These are more like "41 Special +P", but they are all-day loads......I can run through 200 of them without fatigue.

I have a 240 grain SWC Lee 6-banger mold--these boolits get used for hunting-type/heavy loads in the Blackhawk.

Mel,
I use it for my model 58 and am happy with it. Don't recall specific loads but I think the 8 grains of Unique is a good plinking load. I also have a Lee 240 grain SWC and it can be a bit unpleasant in the 58.

I really like the mould. Shoots well in my Dan Wesson. The checkless design saves me a couple of cents a shot.

Thanks for the response. I needed a short nose cast bullet for thie gun. If you are not familiar with it it is a 5 shot cylinder on what looks to be basically an L size frame. The cylinder throats are pretty short. The nose on this bullet from the pictures on RCBS looked like it would fill the bill.
Again thanks for your help. Especially my fellow Kansans

i use it in my old model .357 conversion to 41 mag because its short enough to crimp right. Its a good shooting bullet
