Enco tools has dramatically raised prices on these sets. Now $137, used to be about $65.

Thanks a bunch!! I just ordered the set from Grizzly. They're backordered, but the other tools I ordered with it will ship right away. Now I have to figure out where I'm going to store more "stuff" in my shop..........

I'm not as excited about doing business on ebay as I once was. However I bought a USA-made set branded by a big-name toolmaker for $40-50 (including shipping). It was a .250-.500 set that was missing a half dozen in the .260-.280 range that did not really bother me. So 240 or so pieces of American made steel in all the sizes I could ever see needing for pistol/revolver work for less than 20 cents each. Seemed a good way to go.

CDCO Tools has a great range, they are also very well priced.

I have a set on the way as we speak.

They sell good American-made pins for $2.50 each. Buy what you need and no more. Never oit of stock, either.

I assume Z class is fine for our purposes?

What increment to you guys buy in? Do you get a Go and a No Go for each increment? For instance, I was just going to get "go" in 0.3555, 0.3565, 0.3575, 0.3585, and 0.3595.
Isn't that enough to determine the correct 0.35* sizing die, or am I overlooking something?

For .38/.357 cylinder throats I bought a "+" and a "-" for each half-thousandth, from .3565" to .3590" Twelve pins in all, lets me determine a throat diameter to less than .0005".
