I got to do some load development for the 222 Rem. this weekend (with J words) found 2 loads that seem like they will perform well. My next task with this rifle is to find a boolit load or two that performs well also. Any suggestions on where to start or what has worked well for you? The rifle is a Rem 788, 1-14 twist I think.

For a factory bullet I suggest the Lyman 225415.
For a bullet from a manufacturer who actually knows what they are doing and cares about the result I suggest you look in the 'group buys' section and 'vendor sales' for NOE moulds.

If you can find a 225462 you'll find it to be an excellent cast bullet for the .22 rem, especially the M788 ones. Look at slower burning powders like AA4350, H4831SC and RL22.
