About ten years ago, my wife talked me into giving my son a pistol with the cavat that I could purchase a new one. So, his Christmas present was an EAA Witness in 40 S&W.

Unfortunatly, my son passed away, and unknown to me, he had hocked the pistol and it was lost. So I have been looking to replace the pistol as I have a dozen magizines for the 40, several thousand empty brass and moulds to cast 145 and 175 grain TC boolits.

I was just able to purchase one from GunBroker for $289.00 NIB. So, now I will be back in the 40 S&W business.

I'm going to break out the SDB 40 conversion later today and dust it off and get ready to load a few up. :bigsmyl2:

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your son, that's something no parent should have to go through. OTH, my sincerest congratulations on getting the Witness. I bought one for my wife in 40S+W and it's a fine machine!

Thanks Bret. You're right, out living a child is a real bear. I wouldn't wish the experience on my worst enemy.
