Just put this guy down on lay-a-way and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these. Model 720, Unfluted cyl. Target sights.

I have heard they are some what sought after. I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

Now to find some .44 Special brass now that I traded all mine off.

Congratulations on your new baby! Rossi makes some very good guns. We'll need a range report.

5 or 6 shot? What size S&W frame size does it compare to? 3 or 4" barrel?

I have had a few of them and they are excellent little revolvers for the money. Mine were all 3" and comparable to a K frame Smith in size. They are 5 shot. Sadly they were all owned a few years back when handguns were a novelty for me, so they all left in trades for rifles.

It's a 3", 5 shot. And yes about the same size as a K frame Smith. Now all I have to find is the fluted, fixed sight, DAO version. I think those would carry better, concealed.

just like the picture about fifteen years ago. Much better quality than Charter Arms.
Great carry gun and plenty tough . As usual someone offered me more than I thought it was worth and it went down the road. I hate it when that happens.
Never did measure the barrel groove and chamber mouths.
I still have a sack full of grungy brass from it. Some folded head. You sort. You can have it if you send me your address.
You are going to really like your new gun.

Life is good

Thanks for the offer looseprojectile. PM coming your way. Since you carried yours do you have any suggestions for a holster? Or was it more of a pocket gun?

It's similar to the Taurus Model 441, I got. Love the rubber grips on the Rossi.

I got one at a gunshow about 3 years ago. Mine has a 2 1/2 barrel though. It shoot's surprisingly well for a short barreled revolver. I think they quite making them though because I couldn't find a 44 sp on their web site. I wasn't planning on getting it but I couldn't pass it up for the price($200). I don't know if it was new or not. For the price I figured it was used but it looked new. The only thing I don't like is they made it a bit heavier than needed but that to me is a minor point. I liked it so much, later when I wanted a 357 for a carry piece I bought a nickle Rossi in 357 for a good price. Not crazy about nickle but once again the price sold me and that one was new in the box.

Hello the camp! Yessir, you have a keeper. While mine is a Taurus, not a lot of difference. It is a 'special' defense rd, no pun intended. I tout you onto CCI Blazer's flying ashtray, 200 gr of onery Gold Dot bullet with a hollowpoint sorta like a -- flying ashtray. Have a blast. mm

It looks good, if I can ever find a .44 special locally that's better than the charter arms, I'd like to have one.

Nice, VERY NICE.

I'll give ya 200 bucks fer it!

200 grain Lee RNFP in FRONT of AA#5 works in a comparable gun in the Taurus line.

My friend bought one recently for $100 because seller claimed it was worn out and out of time. A good cleaning was all it needed and it's a rather decent gun. He also has a 3" 431 and some Bulldogs including a 4" target model.
