If you are going to make one

See if you can find a 410A tank ( Pink )
As I found the 410A tanks to be thicker than the R22 tanks ( light green )

Talk to a local HVAC place , they will normaly give you a empty

I have been using a R22 tank cut down , but made a new pot from a 410A tank today

For a lead pot
I drill a hole close to the top
And use a jig saw to cut the tank off just below the weld

I have recycled a lot of the tanks lately
By converting them into Wood Duck boxs
