Deal at Dick's

Stopped in a Dick's Sporting Goods this afternoon. They are closing out H&R Handi-Rifle packages at $199.97 and there's an additional 10% off too. I got all excited but the one on display was a 22-250 not a 223 like I've been wanting.

The sales guy was really nice and went back in the storeroom to see if they still had a 223. No luck. He also called their other store in town but they only had one 22-250 too. He said they'd had some 223's but they sold quick.

He said they were all alike; tuperware camo stock, heavy barrel, and a cheap scope and mount.

Heck buy the 22/250 at that price and head over to Greybeard's site to trade/sell the barrel and get the caliber you want. A gun shop near me had two or three barrels when I checked the other day, all priced at $100. There is lots of info about fitting barrels to a new receiver.

Go on their website and look up their barrel accesory program. The price is realy reasonable and wile it is in the shop they will work on the trigger pull for free.
