That is plumbers lead, it should be dead soft. Great to alloy with tin, linotype and or WW. Black powder shooters use it and it can be used for cores for jacketed bullets.
The ingots look like the 5 pound size.

How many did you get?

Yancey looking at the ingots with the connecting strip irrespective of the markings, I believe that each is a 5 lb'er and once there were 5 of them connected for a total of 25 lbs. Accordingly, they are called 'pig lead' that plumbers used to use when they sweated joints. The normal lead content of pig lead is 98% Pb. So treat as pure lead

I ended up getting well over 100 pounds of lead. The guy that i got this lead from gave me some more today. I missed one pic of the lead and i think it also is soft lead. " What is shown in the pic is not all i scored"

" Thanks folks for your reply and help"

Yup, that`s plumbers lead. In my over 35 years as an industrial/commercial plumber I might have used a pound or 2 of this type lead in pouring lead/oakum pipe joints.:bigsmyl2:Robert

Robert, I would like to have a pound for every pound you poured over 35 years.

Some time ago, I scored some of that same kind of lead...maybe 25 pounds or so. It was definately dead soft. I use it for BP roundballs, maxi-balls, and 12 ga. slugs. GOOD STUFF.
