Anyone here on the forum ever loaded 9mm CB with Longshot powder? Found some loads in their loading manual tonight and am curious since I have 1 LB that has never been opened. Has some good velocities marked for all bullet sizes....BUT!

Try it. I have used it a little for 38+P and so far so good.

I used a couple pounds in the 9MM a while back. I had excellent results in 2 different 9's a Khar and a Browning HP. I had called Hodgdon and was told to use their jacketed data for my cast, obviously OALs are not the same . Everything I loaded was at the top end and accuracy was better than any other powder I tried and that was a bunch. Velocity with he Lee 120 TC was 1240 fps out of the HP and accuracy @ 25 yds was less than 2". I loaded a Commercial cast 147 from Kead Bullets and a Lee 150 2R and velocities were just a hair over 1000fps and accuracy was in the 2-2.5" range @ 25 yds. The Khar had a 3.5" bbl. and it gave up about 100 fps to the BHP but accuracy was very good. All my shooting was done with WDWW bullets sized .001 over groove dia. I no longer have any 9's but in a period of about 2 years and 3 different 9MM guns I went through over 10K rds playing with them. I liked the Browning HP the best.
