If you wouldn't mind it would be nice if you posted a picture or two of your mold. I don't think anyone has posted a picture yet of his new 4 cavity molds so I bet there are a few on this web-site who would like to see a picture or two of them. I personally order machine molds with the hand casting sprue plates from Tom but I think there will be quite a few on this board that will be quite interested in his new four cavity blocks.

Don't have a 4 cavity but I really like my 3 cavity. It casts beautifully and right on size.

White Eagle is right, you won't be disappointed!

Tom's 4-cavity moulds promise to be 33-1/3% more wonderful!

I got my 4 cavity yesterday. Cast some very nice looking 30 cals. Quick lubed a few with alox, fired very nice 1/4" group at 65 yards through a M/N. Great workmanship as usual for Tom.

I have got one in the works from Tom. It's something that was not cataloged but is now under the 460-400L marking. Basically a LFNGC 45cal rifle boolit. Going to be a 3 cavity mold set up in a 4 cavity set of blocks.

I can't wait to get it!!!!

Ordered mine from Tom and it was in the mail in one week. Yet to arrive at my home, but when it does, I will be sure to post pics. I ended up getting a 4 cavity 358 with two different cavities....a 235 flat point GC and a 270 grn flat point GC for my 35 Whelen. Should make a smashing bear killer.

Can hardly wait to get the lead poured.

I ordered a 4 cavity 43-240L just yesturday. I was surprized to see the 4 cavity option so I jumped on it. This will be my second mold from Tom.
I hate the first one as now all my other 9mm molds became junk sitting around cluttering things up never getting used. :drinks:
Should be a nice workout casting the .44 with 4 cavities in brass.
All I can say is I'm more excited than when I picked up the SS 1894 Marlin that I'll be using this boolit out of. Had been wanting a SS Marlin to match my .44 SS Ruger.
May just have to get a four cavity for my .32 H&R as well.

Just ordered a 4 cavity 45 ACP #68 clone from Tom to replace my Lyman out-of-round mold.

I ordered this mold on July 30th and received it on August 8. It looks great and I can't wait to use it but; I will be out of town for two weeks so I will have to wait.
Great quality and service.

I plan on ordering one soon. Glad to hear all the good feed back on the molds. I want to order a 30 cal. 31-165B GC. I want to use this in my 308 Winchester. They recomend to order it in the size you are going to size the boolit. I think I will order it .001" over the size that I'm going to size it. Have it drop at .310 to size at .309". That is with WW. Who has an Accurate mould, how did you order your's size wise?

I'm thinking about ordering an Accurate mold for 45 ACP and have a couple of questions.
First, should I get brass, aluminum or steel? I have dozens of steel molds, mostly old Lymans and a few RCBS and Saeco. I've shot many thousands from four-cavity Lyman 452488 and several others. What are the advantages / disadvantages of the different metals?
Second, what bullet for 45 ACP? I'm looking at 45-200H which looks like 452460 and 45-195H which is similar to my favorite 452488. What are your experiences with these? Others I should consider?

Great quality and service.

I made time to cast 40 bullets’ with my new mold, before my trip, and they look great and are round within .0005" from my ordered .354" mold. I am very pleased with the results and quality of the mold. I will never purchase a production mold again. This is my first brass mold and I like the idea that I do not have to oil down any more steel molds after casting. I could not tell any major difference in casting with a brass or steel mold.

The brass ones do look classy.

Seems like the 4 cavity brass mold option has disappeared, probably run out of the material?

When I went to order my 4 cavity mold I could not find it at first, so I logged off than on again and it showed up. Strange.

I ordered a 3 cavity brass mould from Tom on Saturday morning the 6th of August and it was in my PO Box today (12th August). I cleaned it up and looked at the tooling through a stereo microscope that I have access to and it was so crisp that I did not do anything but hit it with some compressed air and then a shot or two of brake cleaner and onto the hot plate! I was casting with it within a couple hours of having picked it up and, from the start, got keepers and verrrrrrrry round! Boolits *jumped* out of the cavities and I did not have to beat a single one of them (that smooth as butter tooling).

Kudos to Tom and I will be back. Six days from order to receipt! Who does things like that? Some might think that quality would be sacrificed in favor of that timing but NOT AT ALL! This is a high quality mold that people will be casting with long after I am gone.

Thanks Tom!

Kevin

This is the one I'm ordering for my 44 Mag in brass...should be a great shooter once I get RCBS to make a seat plug for that large meplat.

Tom designed this via email for me a couple of months ago, had it delivered within a week. It is a fine shooter in revolvers and feeds like butter in two different lever guns.
Haven't loaded anything wild yet, but 10 grains of Unique is working well.
I had taken one of his heavier designs, asked him to lop the gas check off and shorten the nose to .375. Great service.
He also drew up the .45-260C and the .45-300C to my specs via email already (starting with different designs, made it easy for him to modify) the later for a short throated .454, however it is a great .45 Colt boolit too. Have shot the .45-260C less than the other two, so don't have much to report on that.
BTW, I've modified most all my seat plugs using JB Weld.

. . . . get RCBS to make a seat plug for that large meplat.

I would suggest that if you’re going to have a custom seater plug made for you then you should ask them to make a flat nose plug. From then on you can use that same plug with any boolit design that has a flat on the nose regardless of how big or small that flat is.

That's good news that it shoots well. Tom has a .300 and a .350" aluminum seat plug offered and I'll get that from him and as for the seating stem, JB Weld or filling with lead sounds like a better option that forking over $25 to RCBS. I'll give one or the other a try.

A few seconds on a grinder wheel will make any large seater stem into the best all around seater you have. Every RCBS die set comes with a extra seating stem, or they did at one time. Later David

I got my mould yesterday, 34-310B Tom sent it to Rick to have him made a size die and save shipping costs, both are works of art, managed to cast a couple of hundred yesterday afternoon when the mould got up to temperature it dropped boolits
real nice and easy, I'll be ordering another mould real soon.
