Stealing an idea generated from a couple of postings on Blue Dot concerning cold weather pressure spiking and heavier weight boolits with BD....has anyone done any cold weather shooting with 700-X and noticed pressure spikes/differences in a .357 Mag? And conversely, I know it isn't a recommended powder for 180gr projectiles, but can it be used if I'm not looking to push the limits of velocities with the heavier boolits?

I haven't used 700X in a 357, but I would think that 700X should work fine in low velocity loadings.
Quickload doesn't have 700X in it, but does have Red Dot. Red Dot seems to shoot about the same as 700X in my limited testing.
So if you are just makeing plinking loads, you should be okay.
So from Quickload 357 mag 180 cast COAL 1.59" and 6.5" barrel with RedDot.
3.5gns - 828fps @ 15,500 psi
4.0gns - 894fps @ 19,300 psi
4.5gns - 956fps @ 23,500 psi
5.0gns - 1015fps @ 28,000 psi
5.5gns - 1071fps @ 32,800 psi
6.0gns - 1124fps @ 38,000 psi Over MAX

So I would only use it with 5 gns or less.
This is not load data, just a guess.

My load for 158gr lead SWC is 5.5 gr, and that one shoots just like my old HS-6 load in my Blackhawk. I knew there would be a trade off with the heavier boolits, I just hoped that the velocities would be a bit higher....I guess some testing will just have to be done.
