In case anyone was looking for a 1050, there is one for sale on Craigs List (Allentown, Pa.) for $1200 -FYI, I do not have a horse in the race.

Curiosity got the cat --- Did anyone look into that 1050? Did any of you members scoop it up? It looked like it was in very nice shape.

If I had the $$$ I would have grabbed it and set it up in 40 S&W....It would have given me 3 of them on the bench. My wife, as understanding as she is, would have killed me!

Didn't look but missed out last week on one for $800 setup in 38 super, guy wanted to wait a week before he would ship, day 5 got a e/m saying it sold. Knew I should have offered $100 extra to ship

Used 3-4 hours? What's the story on that?
$300 off new price?
Someone will buy it

The 1050 is a monster! I'd need to buy more guns just to shoot all the ammo the 1050 makes!

buyer beware on Craigslist.

it is set up for face to face, cash only dealings. you have ZERO pretection from scammers/cheaters/etc. actually, shipping is frowned upon, maybe even against CL's regs.

The 1050 can be a difficult machine to set up some times. Especially if you are not mechanically inclined.

Never had any luck with Craigs list. Too many flakes! I call it "Flakebay"!

Every deal I've tried to make ended with the guy flaking out.

I don't even bother looking anymore.

Hi,
The girls are actually pro surfers doing a duck dive under a wave at a real mean break in Tahiti!!! Sorry couldn't help myself,I like pics in a thread!

As far as CL,I've had very good luck finding things for my shop, welders, tool boxes, ect. I have not seen any Dillion 1050's though. I do not need one but as I admire the STAR reloader that it is modeled on, I'd buy one at a good price just to play with it!!!

"Buyng one at a good price..."

Now, that certainly is the trick, isn't it?!

I bought my first RL1050 when my wife showed me the ad as part of the utility bill. They have about a half page of personal classified ads.
From what I can see, you buy a Super 1050 for $1600, use it for ten years, and then sell it with some of the caliber conversion items you've picked up for $1600-1700.

seagiant don't give up on CL , just had the nice lady from the p/o drop off this.
for $1000 I'm guessing I didn't get hurt. there's 2 complete extra toolheads set-ups , to bad I don't shoot what they are

This is exactly what I DONT want to happen with all of my reloading equipment.............Sold on CL for HALF of whats its worth..... UNLESS it was going to someone who could actually use it. Not just someone adding to their unusually large collections or who will flip it all for profit.

I missed that , nice catch. The GunWiki.net conversion chart says for 9mm adapter N/A but said I needed the green for 38 super , oh well.

KohlerK91 I don't see this one going anyplace, I will have to let go of a couple Stars to cover the $$ & justify having it on the bench
