Just wondering if anyone has tried this powder in the 41?
I loaded some behind a RCBS 210 swc and the results were 1 1/8" at 25 yards that being a 5 shot group.
I didn't chronograph them because I was not expecting all that much.
Thanks, Bill

IMO 5744 will work but there are better powders for your 41 mag , and it may also be the most expensive powder to buy and need more grs per load also increasing costs .
IMO one 1 1/8 group at 25 yards should not be to much trouble comeing up with other powders Do it for 5- 5 shot groups and then you have a real winner

I once had a Redhawk that olny shot 1 load well. It was a Hornady 210 gr JHP over the (then) book max load for 5744. That load would really shoot, and I discovered it by accident when a friend gave a box of ammo he loaded for a gun he traded off long ago. Velocity was really good, and the accuracy was extraordinary.

Thanks for the replies,
I've tried what seem like every powder that's on the fast side to reduce number of grains. None of them will produce good groups.
The slower powders all seem to produce good groups with 2400 right up there with the groups shot with the 5744.
I will shoot the 5744 over the chronograph and see what they are doing.
Thanks, Bill
