I'm a pilot and work in some strange overseas locations. I recently came across a gold mine of pb that I might be interested in bringing back stateside (if legal). I always have an extra bag available and could carry at least 75lbs every time I come back, multiply that by 3-5 times a year could end up to be worth it.
I researched it online as much as I could and can't find anything. Legality? importation problems? people bring dive weights back and forth so I don't see how it's that different but I'm seeing what you think. I might give CBP a call to see if they have an opinion.

Are you not making dive weights with that lead? Do what Congress does. ... felix

Possible to take a dive weight mold with you on your next trip? Make arrangements to smelt that material down for your international scuba hobby.

Depending on the country visited, one can bring back $200 - $600 of merchandise for personal use. Must have receipt.

As far as I know, I don't think it matters if you get lead from a broad or from a dude. :D

I had to do that, sorry.

Lead is not a banned substance, so there should be no problem getting it into the states.

THAT hurts! They don't have rules against lead like we do!

I bought lead and tin in Korea and let the USPS bring it home for me.
