For a long time i have been using 20.0 grains SR4759 for my 150 grain and 200 grain cast bullets in my 03 springfields by Remington.

Recently i got some 8700 powder for 'gratis'.

Has anyone had good results using this magnum powder for cast bullets or any of the IMR4320, 4831,4895,4064, or H extruded powders - i got some of that too!

My Rapid prone results at my last Garand match using my Remington 1903A3.

You will have better results using the 200 gr bullet with the medium and slower burning powders. H4895 is always a good choice for use in the '06 with 170+ gr bullets. Suggest you start at 28 gr and use a 3/4 gr dacron filler. Work up in 1/2 gr increments to 32 or 33 gr. Happiness will be found in that range.

If your talking about Accurate 8700, they recommend a magnum primer with that powder. Even in reduced loads.
