A thousand pardons, but where is load data for the 6.8mm SPC using the Lyman 280468 L bullet of @115 gr with IMR SR4759?

Mention of 14.5gr, low of 10gr, max of maybe 19...

Finally have some 280468 cast, sized, and GCd. They look fairly crappy, which I think about 4oz of tin in a 20lb pot should fix. That plus the lack of fluxing for that pot... Got some beeswax and the WW lead surface was fairly smooth during the last casting session (457122s look awesome).

Anyways, I'd like to load up some boolits and chrono them. Probably need to cast more for better accuracy..

I asked the folks at IMR Powder (well, part of Hodgdon) for load data for SR4759 and 115gr weight in the 6.8mm

Anything that gets close... 110, 120, etc

21 July - email to imrpowder bounced, sent a query to help@hodgdon.com

I just got the same mould form a friend of mine. I am interested in your results when you get them. I was thinking of trying Trailboss in mine. I still have the same problem with no data for this round using cast. Supposedly you can not get enough Trailboss in a cartridge to cause problems. Will let you how it works out when I get a chance to do it.

I would start at about 13 gr. It should get you in the neighborhood of 1500 fps and then go from there. I am using 16 gr in my 6mm Rem and plan to use 10 gr in my 222 Rem whenever those 22 cal gas checks arrive from Midway

OK, I've done due diligence. Can't say they didn't give a succinct answer...

Sorry we don't have any data for SR4759 in the 6.8 SPC.

I want to use IMR SR4759 with 100-115 grain cast bullets in the 6.8mm
SPC. Is there any loading data for similar weights in the 6.8mm SPC
using SR4759?

What did you sorta base 13 grains off of?

I have used from 13 up to 15 grains of 4759 with a 135 gr. SAECO in my .270 Max. I think the 6.8 has a bit more case capacity, so my loads should be good for starting points.

Is that a 270 based on the 357 Maximum?

That is exactly what it is.
