Fired this tgt this afternoon after the temp came down from 104F to 91F!:p Been bumping that kinda temp here for two weeks now! This was with a C. Sharps 45 2 4/10 that I was testing some PP loads on; 15 rounds and if I hadn't called 4 shots out...they'd be no X showing! (25 yd. Pistol tgt) Round at 4 o/clock was the sighter. Fired this from 100 yds. using Hoke rear tang and Distant Thunder LR front sight. The Rdnck told me this KIK 2F would shoot and I'm finding this out! Load was 530 gr. BACO MB with 90 grs. KIK 2F, WLR primer, Starline cases trimmed to 2.465", .350 BM lube cookie and using a very light taper crimp. I won't go any further with load testing....I'm there!:drinks::castmine:[smilie=1:

Added info:

This was using Starline 2.6" bass that I had trimmed back to the point whereby it fit nicely into the chamber of the rifle.. Also...the KIK 2F was compressed .472"...actual! Used a .350" Black Magic lube cookie with a .030" VW atop the powder and a .060" VW adjacent the bullet base.

That's pretty nice shootin there Mr. M. Seems like that KIK powder has been working out pretty good, with all the testing and posting you've been doing.

Up here were kinda limited to BP, GOEX is probably the most popular. And if I wanted to try some of that KIK, the only KIK I could find around here would be a KICK in the ar$e.

Nice shootin and Thank's for sharing the info.

And it is even getting hard to find GOEX locally... usually requiring a multi hour drive

I've got a big box of KIK coming. Now if it would ever get below 100 deg. and above 5% humidity here during the day I'll give it a try. From what I read the new batch is giving Swiss a run for the money.

RM, That is some darn nice shooting!! A web friend of mine, John Kort aka W30WCF just posted the same type of results. I think he received the powder from John Boy. He is sold on it and you could not sway John to shoot nothing but Swiss before. Ha! Ha! I brought in quite a good stock of Goex Cartridge and will be using that up for a while. With that type of results we may see something other than Swiss listed under the winning powder used.

Nobade, Go up on Sandia Peak and enjoy a few cool ones until it levels off.

Yep, I hear ya! It's a darn sight nicer up there this time of the year than it is in the city. Makes me wish I had a little place waaaay up North to hide out in until September or so.
