G'day all

Has anyone got any load data for the 375 Winchester using AR2207/H4198 and the RCBS .37-250-FN mould?
At the moment I'm casting wheel weights which once gas checked, lubed and sized, weigh 270 grains. I have loaded up to 26 grains of AR2207/H4198 but I'm afraid that load may have been a bit hot, so I've backed off to 22 grains the problem is there just isn't any data I can find for a cast bullet of 270 grains in the 375 Winchester, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had that problem and what loads they ended up using.

thanks
Regards, Jason

Jason, I was unable to get even mediocre accuracy with cast 265-gr bullets at any speed above 1200 fps. I finally ended up using 8.0 Unique after failing with every rifle powder I tried - and I tried quite a few. My bullets were plain-based, however.

I get good accuracy with 10grs Unique in my BB94. When i use 20-24grs of 2400 the groups open up, same with RL-7.

You could look at 38-55 Winchester data. 38-55 is loaded to lower pressures, but there is a lot of data for heavier bullets. I use IMR 4895 in my 1893 Marlin and the RCBS bullet. It is not a hot load, but has killed two hogs.

Thanks for the replies Rocky Raab, 76 Warlock and Barkerwc4362.

Now that you mention it, accuracy is not all that good. I thought it may have been because of the pressure but if you guys are having problems with accuracy as well.

I did drill a hollowpoint in the front of the bullet to take the weight down to 250 grains, accuracy improved a lot about 2 to 3 inches at 100 yards but it is time consuming.

So after reading up on moulds I bought ranch dog's TLC379-235-RF mould, I think this mould will solve my problem Ranch Dog has some good load data with powders that are available in Australia which is exactly what I'm after.

Good morning
I have 375īs in Win & Marlin. As with all cast boolits be sure the slug is throat diameter + at least .001. I do not have my data books here with me but I do know I have loaded my 375īs to 1500+ fps and they are shooting at or less than 3" at 100 yards.
AS mentioned above all 38-55 info can be used in 375īs...

Try 22.0 gr. of IMR-4198 or 22.0 gr. of AA-5744. Shot well in my .375 and 38-55- gave about 1500 fps with either load.
