anyone have any starting data using 2400 with the 22 bator.

presently using h110 (5g) and bator (53g) sized .225 and gas checked. am getting 1/2-3/4 inch groups at 50 yards with an occasional flyer.
would like to try something different, Tried a couple of other powders but not much luck, especially with unique.

thanks in advance,

The 22 Bator is very similar to the Lyman 225462 . With my moulds they drop @ 57-58 gr. IIRC. 8 grains 2400 gave 2- 21/2 inch groups @ 50 yds. My Handi-Rifle with 1-12 twist really likes AA1680 with any cast bullet in my collection. The worst groups are 2 inch @100 yds with the best going about 3/4" @100 yds. My rifle really likes 12 gr AA1680 with the RCBS 55 FP. This will stay minute of praire dog out to 200 yds on a calm day if I do my part. Depending on your rifles twist YMMV. My alloy is 5 WW/ I lino AC and I use CCI Small Pistol primers.

WC680 is a great powder in my Contender 22 K-hornet. Also 700x in small amounts works well.
