I could not find anything in the search engine. I realize that each rifle is different, but in general do recent lots of Schuetzen 2F powder like large, moderate or very little amounts of compression? Cartridge is 45-70 with 510 gr government style bullet.

All of the Schuetzen I've shot ,gave the best groups with minor compression.

It is similar to Swiss in that it does not take much, if any, compression.

Moondawg, Please remember that when you are loading BP ammo that each powder will change from lot to lot. Sometimes you will have results close to what you had before and sometimes it will be way different. You may use guidelines but should never assume with BP powder lots and of course never switch brands and use the same load. I have looked at different powders under the microscope and will tell you that Swiss 3F is much smaller than Goex 3F. That's why it is hard for one BP shooter to give another a load for a caliber and say it will shoot dead center. Might be way off and be nothing but a lot difference.
