First off, I forgot to take a picture, so I apologize for that. I saw some of these at a recycler while on holidays. These nuts were aprox. 1" across, 6 sided(some are domed and some are flat). They have a brass nut(3/4") cast into the lead. I'm told it had an electrical application. I did remember to test for Zn(neg). Anyone seen these? I forgot to do a rudimentary hardness test. I figured if someone is putting a wrench to these, maybe there is some desirable alloys in it. Any thoughts.

At least you could probably double your money back on the brass.

The price isn't too special, even with selling the brass. I think I might save my money for other sorces I come across. Thanks for your input

I found a whole bucketload of those at my local scrapyard; seem to be a bit softer than WW, but I am not sure. Mine had a 1/4" brass insert in them, but like yours were six-sided and were domed. Seems to be a good alloy for rifle (Lee 155-2R).
