got a rcbs 180fngc for my 30-30 contender and it makes perfect boolits.Drops at .310 and makes perfectly round boolits.Doesn't need smoking and no rejects and shoots very well.Only had to pay 43 bucks and its an old new one in the cardboard box.It sure is nice to get a quality mold cheap that drops perfect boolits easily and shoots one inch groups with 26.5 grains H-4895.I wish all molds were as easy to work with as this one.I'm really liking the 30-30 and this mold.

That is great. Always good to hear a good positive report.

I've also had great luck with RCBS molds, they're worth every cent.

Jump up and down. Every RCBS and Lyman mold I ever bought was undersize.

I was just about to say that, I really like RCBS molds however about 50% of mine are undersize!

I have to agree.
I like RCBS, but 2 of my 6 are undersized without beagling. I lightly lapped the third one and now its fine.

Almost every new Lyman mold I bought was undersize, but not so much with RCBS molds. My latest RCBS purchase was the 45-405, and it was slightly oversize with a undersize GC shank. The shank was an easy fix, and now it's just perfect for my .459 bore Marlin. Most of my RCBS molds are for 38/357 and 45, and they cast at the right size.

My Lee moulds drop "452-250-RF" nominal boolits at "454"; a blessing. My Lyman moulds drop "454190" boolits at "451". My lever action rifles shoot the Lee pills remarkably well, yet not so good with the Lyman. In revolves with the same boolits, my skill level is about "minute of Great Pumpkin" at 25 yards, so its no big deal I suppose.
