question about the extractor/rod.....

It hangs up in the yoke a little and doesn't return sometimes... The rod hangs up somewhere in the yoke. I think it's hanging up on the spring. When I tighten the rod and back off on it, it doesn't hang up. Is there something I should replace?
The gun has about 1500 rounds through it.

Also... what parts should be replaced on the occassion? Like the spacer bushing, extractor, which on the extractor rod I noticed wear, due to what looks to be aluminum.

Every time I've had an problem crop up on my 66 like this, it was resolved by a good cleaning and lube. That's with 12,000 rounds through it. As far as parts, haven't had to replace any yet.

Sorry if you've already cleaned and lubed it all, as this won't help at all.

I took apart the cylinder and yoke.... just because it hasn't been donw for a couple of years. But just backing off on the extractor rod, instead of at stop when tightening, it doesn't hang up.

The few times I had a problem, it was due to buildup, someplace. Where the extractor fits into the cylinder is the most common place. Backing off may be enough to overcome some buildup, or it's somehow applying side-pressure. The back of the extractor is the other area to clean thoroughly, on second thought, that wouldn't cause this problem.
