If the gun already is in 8mm Mauser (same head size), and the magzine is long enough, it will fly. Czech mausers are too short in the mgazine IIRC.

I made a 35 Whelen out of a Czech 98/22 and it fed fine from the magazine without any alterations. I thought it was the Yugo m48 that had the slightly shorter than normal action.

I was referring to a BRNO 24/47. It may work, but I have been told the magazine is too short.

If it is a full length (8.75") action, it will work fine. If it is the intermediate length action (8.50") it might be a better idea to go .358 Win instead of fighting with it trying to make it feed properly.
