M1 Garand

Does anyone have a good load for the M1 Garand with IMR 4895 and 168 HPBT bullet. Ron

I would start at about 35 grs and work up till you find the cycling reliability and/or accuracy you want.

Just look in any reloading manual for a good starting load and work up from there. I shot several thousand 168s in several M1s I own and they shoot well with that bullet. The only problem is that each liked a slightly different load for best accuracy. As I was shooting in High Power matches at the time I was also loading for maximum velocity with accuracy. 4895 worked well but I found that I got better accuracy with with AA 2520
