I had a hard cyst grow on the bone on the base of my finger about the size of a pea. It was under nerves and everytime it got mashed .... it hurt like the dickens. So ..... I had it dug out and removed. Yes .... it hurts as bad as it looks. That is my right hand and I'm right handed. I have had trouble shooting, reloading etc. As this heals, I'll get back to normal Sunday I felt useless so I used my Lee hand priming unit and primed a bunch of .357's and .38's with my left hand.
Looking forward to getting back to normal after the stitches come out ....

I got the same thing( i forget the fancy medical name...). Palm of the right hand,on the tendon. The doc says as long as I can deal with it, it should stay. It isn't as ackward as yours, but it is destined to grow. All the best for a speedy recovery. Good reason to practice 'weak' hand accuracy.

I feel your pain, well not the physical pain, but trying to get by one-handed. Years ago I broke my right hand, and although I shoot well enough with either hand, things like eating, getting dressed, etc, were a real problem. You don't realize how much stuff you need two hands to do.

One-handed gets awkward - had both arms broke once at same time - good way to find out who your friends are when you need to go to the head !!

I think it is called a ganglion cyst.

A person I know had two of them pop up on the back of his shooting hand after shooting a 500 S&W. It looked like he had two marbles under the skin.

That's called Dupuytren's Contracture. or Syndrome. My dad had it and now I have it. The old surgery was very painful and took a good while to recover, now they do it with a needle and it's totally amazing. Minimal pain and within a few days complete normal movement of the affected digit...
