A friend gave me two rolls of the lead wire used for swaging, one 30 cal the other 44. Each weigh 20+ lbs each. I don't swage and wonder is it worth selling to buy other reloading stuff or just melt it down.

It sure would be a shame to melt it down when lead is so easy to come by.
I would trade with you in a second if I was into swageing.

I'm already swaging, and could sure use that wire. I have sent you a PM, and looking to trade you brass or cast bullets for the lead. I could also do ingots, either wheel weights, or pure lead. I also have some linotype (in type form).

If the above deal(s) do not work, send me a PM with price. I'll be happy to pay a fair price for some good usable wire!

If you don't find anything for which you wish to trade, put it on Ebay. I have a 20 lb roll of .308 wire up for auction right now, so you can see how popular it is and what price it will bring.

I'm passing on this. He wants $45 a roll or both for $80.
I'll use cast cores.
