I have a chance to pick up an older 76 grabber for $150. Is that a fair price?

Sorta depends on what comes with it. Alone in 1 gauge with no componets, the price is about right. What with the cost of shot at about $40 a bag and powder and primers going higher each quarter, buying loaded shells almost is good sense.Robert

At that price make sure everything is there. Mec still makes parts. The primer tray is a weak point unless you know a real good welder. New upgrade primer tray is quite pricey. Nothing wrong with hand single loading the primer. Great machines when cleaned and maintained.

Well I ended up getting it. It's an older model, 761. Only thing wrong with it, was that one of the bottles was cracked and broke. He threw in a bag of 7 1/2 shot,a bag of 4 shot, 1500 wads, and 500 AA hulls. It's going to be weird trying to get use to the powder and shot being swapped. I'm just so used to the Jr. I'll have to get a whole new rhythm going now. I don't think I did too bad for $150.

get the universal bar and you will like it . the collet needs to be cleaned and reset. Use a new shell to reset

You did real good with all the addins to the deal! You have a very good reloader that will turn out shotshells faster than you can shoot them.
