what are these tape on ww

these are light grey in color, have a symbel looks like an egg and a half moon, weight is in oz. and gram. They cut with side cutters.

Are these pure lead?

I have seen quite a few of the weights you describe. In my experience they are a little harder than pure lead. I usually include those with my clip on weights. I posted pictures of those and my thoughts on this a while back.

I think the epoxy paint causes the slightly harder feel with cutters. as long as they dent/cut with pliers, I just melt with other Stick ons. I'm finding that all WWs vary in hardness now. I suspect that as the end of lead WWs draws near we will see lots more of this. Since zinc is as expensive as lead, Fe will probably be all that's available, in a couple years.
Get what you can now, cause the light at the end of, the "no lead" tunnel, is getting brighter.
