Here is some video instructions I put togther covering the use of my universal notch die and making 44 cal bullets in my one step die. Click on top picture.

Photo bucket limited me to 10 minutes but I think it is all there. Youtube limited me to 15 minutes and as it figured my video was 15:58 in length. Back to editing :) Should have youtube videos up soon and plan to post a lot of videos in future. Signed up on youtube as BTSniper1911

I have severial of these universial dies ready to ship. Nine of them actually and many more are not a problem. I am low on the expanding mandrels but can put some together in a short amount of time.

Cost is $125 for the notching die and $10 shipping. Mandrels are $25-$40 each.

Let me know if any of you are interested. Really is an easy way to make perfect XTP copy bullets.

It has been a long process for me perfecting this die and notch set up but this one is IT! Think I have figured out the perfect set up. I pan to offer these for a long time. There is no reason now why any of you shouldn't be shooting bullets as good and better as those you can buy.

Enjoy the video and Swage On!

I'm still perfecting my video skills and this was made to be "instructional" so it may seem a bit "dry" at times but for those of you soon to be, or currently using this die, it should be very helpful.

First 30 seconds are without sound.

Brian, the DVD you sent only contains this same detail. I would have liked it better if you send raw MP4 files, that I could have played on my computer.

Good stuff. I didn't mind the 30 seconds of no sound.

Was there supposed to be more on the DVD???

Duke,

I'm good at making bullets. On computers I'm still learning. Figured the DVD was a step above written instructions.

It was good instructions for the universal crimp tool.

Now, you need to do a longer one for the one step tools. You'll have to break the videos into Part 1, Part 2, etc... for getting them onto YouTube, etc.

I use a lee classic turrit press with auto index. First station universal flare die then incert core , 2nd station I use the standatd .40 flare die to seat the core,3rd station I full length size to remove the flair (for easy incerting in to the swage die), Fourth station I use the notch die.
Four pulls and its ready.

BT Sniper What would a set to make .45cal XTP style boolits cost with the notch die?

My 454 Raging Bull dosent like cast boolits it leads real bad unless I shoot jacketed.
Dont stand straight to the side unless you like to get hit with lead or brass spit.
The deer don't seem to care they drop DRT if I do my part.

Right now it fits the standard 7/8-14 reloading press. This die doesn't require a lot of pressure to work. Great results will be obtained in even the most basic (cheap) of reloading presses. As you can see I used a $15 Lee AL press for my video.

Yes, it will notch a jacket as small as a 22 cal unless you are trying to notch a 308 bullet that is allready formed? I have a picture of a notched 338 7.5s bullet of mine here some where and the headon pic of the notched bullet shone above was a 308 from a ch die, ofcourse it is more of a 4s ogive.

Thanks

It's on my "to-do" list. I actually tried to up load this video to youtube a few years ago. At that time they still limited videos to 10 min. this one was just over and it (youtube) kicked it out. That was after many hours of attempting to upload, sign into and figure everything out.
