I shoot the 32 H&R Mag in IHMSA BB standing out to two hundred yards. I had developed a mild standing load of 9.2gr of ADI 2205 (IMR4227) under the 165 RCBS. The reason I settled on this load was it was exactly a level LEE .007cc scoop and I could load up without having to get the powder thrower set up.
Well I now use a Hornady LNL progressive press and have set the powder measure up and can now vouch for its consistency.
I chrono'd three rounds and they went 1112fps, 1115fps and 1117fps, just under the 1124 fps speed of sound. Love it. Peter.:holysheep

Is this in the contender? What barrel length? Sounds like a very consistent load for a very heavy boolit :)

Remember the speed of sound is 1120 fps at sea level at 59deg and when it gets colder the speed of sound gets closer to 1100 fps because the air is denser.

I shot some bullets in the summer once through a suppressor and they worked great and then in the winter shot some of the same load and CRACK, broke the sound barrier.

Hi Fisherman,
yes, 10" T/C. I have a light crimp also which may be unneccesary but seems to work. My nephew has started using this same load for BB production. is very accurate. Peter.

Thank you for sharing the load, here's a peek at one of mine.

Using 1.9 grains of Bullseye to 100 yards, this is a small varmint load for RCBS 32-098-SWC
