Taurus Tracker 44 cylinder length

Can anyone tell me the length of the cylinder? I want to know if I can shoot boolits from an RCBS 250-KT

My son has one of these, I'll measure the cylinder next time I can get him to the house.

It will be a near run thing. the cylinder is just about 1.62 inches long. My 429-421's won't chamber if loaded in magnum brass--they'll protrude slightly from front of the cylinder. They work just fine as 44 Specials though.

Thanks rintinglen, I was trying to talk him into some form of 429421, perhaps we will need to check into this a bit more carefully.

I have the Tracker in 45 Colt, and the Keiths dont fit if crimped into the cannelure. Same cylinder length I beleive...

Which model of 45 Colt Tracker to you have? I sure would like to find a 450 or 460.

There is a NOE 429421 group buy going now and If they use the same cherry it will have a shorter COL. I just measured an assembled round at 1.670 minus .05 for the case head is 1.620 and they shoot very well. ( case 1.270 )

Ranch Dog, I have the 4" Ported Matte Stainless Tracker, not sure of the model #, but I do know they are discontinued. Great all around pistol.

I have the 44 Tracker also. Can't use the KT, or the 429421's in 44Mag cases. Just a bit too long. Mine seems ok with the Lee 200gn RNFP bullet for plinkers.
