Not much new under the sun.I found this in the Dope Bag of the May 1944 American Rifleman

Not much new Harry, I think placing the checks in the mold to cast inplace could be very trying though. The article "THE WILK GAS CHECK" by Dave Scovill was posted in it's entirety some years ago here on CB. If you look I think John Goines aka Beagle has done some of his own using gas checks with the hole punched in them in 45 cal if I remember correctly. Nothing new under this sun, try it you might like it!

i tried it when the article came out and it wasn't worth the trouble.

Well you did better than I did since I was 8 years in the making in 1944! I have the Scovill article printed and saved but have yet to try it, some day I'll get round toit!
