Need a measurement for making a mould

I need a measurement from a 35 Rem cal rifle gas check bullet. I need the diameter of the bullet base that is reduced for accepting the gas check. Can someone provide that for me ? Thanks.

You might be able to obtain the dimension you want via creating a bullet mold on Mountain Molds web site.

The max shank diameter specified for 357 GC's is listed at 0.341. You will find that this is a bit off as the GC's will be too loose to snap onto the shank. I've slowly increased my shank diameter to 0.3425 over several cherrys to finally get a snap fit. Both Gator and Hornady GC's run oversized and have for years. Shank diameters given are for as cast boolits, not cavity size.
