I am trying to find a accurate load with the Oldfeller boolit and WC872 with a kicker. To advance that end I took off the BSA 'holographic' sight and mounted a scope. Have it it nicely mounted to see through - picked up a used pistol scope to mount as a scout scope. Took it to the range today - and discovered that I'd forgotten to check function! The boolits are about 1mm too long to clear the scope ring in the clip. So much for shooting it today.

Don't feel bad......we've all had moments like that! Can you just use it as a single shot until you move the scope? At least you'd get an idea of what she can do.

I hear those have problems breaking extractors if you don't use the clip. Is that correct?

Heard this as well... Haven't shot mine w/o a clip... I have enough bad luck w/o tempting fate!

I've heard that too, from those with much more experience than I with the rifle. I'm not willing to take the chance. It's pretty much a fatal flaw as they are not available for replacement.
