View Full Version : How much is 60/40 lead worth?

I know a guy who has over 100#s of 60/40 lead that came out of a wave solder machine.
What would be a fair price to pay?
It is more than I could use so it's possible I could melt it into small ingot for resale.

I would keep it as a hedge against inflation. You have 60% Tin and 40% Lead that will never go bad, just make sure you mark and store it so it can be identified in the future.

60% of it is worth the price of tin and 40% of it is worth the price of lead.:bigsmyl2:

On the "Bay", it goes for $3.50 to $6.00 per pound, plus shipping.
Clean and in ingot form.

That should give you a dollar value to go by.
