I have a 358 Norma Mag. in which I would like to shoot cast bullets. It has a 1-14 twist. I have Lyman 358318 mold that I picked up long ago and before I invest a bunch of time and effort, I would like to know if this project is feasible.

Will the 1-14 twist stabilize the 250gr bullet?

Another concern is the large case capacity but I'm not sure if this would be an issue or not.

Lyman apparently made mold #358009 which is in the neighborhood of 300 grains. This would be of great interest to me. Has anyone tried that bullet in the Norma?

Any suggestions for a load would be appreciated.

The twist will stabilize the boolits. I use from 180, to 290 in the 1-14 twist. You ARE overbore, but should be able to get good results up to around 2200 fps without much trouble. Stay with slow powders, the fuller the case the better.
