I have a Super Blackhawk 5 1/2 SS. The bore slugged at 0.429. The cylinder throats are at 0.431, measured by pin gages.
Should I size cast bullets to 0.429 or 0.430?
Thanks.
I size .001" over cylinder throat dimension, others size .002" over. However, that's not to say that is the size your gun wants to see...experimentation is almost always required.
As a general rule, a boolit that falls or is easily pushed through a cylinder throat will result in leading, either on the throats, forcing cone, or the barrel.

I would go with .430 at least. Depends also on what bullet you are using. If it will chamber i would try some at .431 or more.
Courious if the .429 is the actual bore or if you have some bore choke at the threads.
