I made 50 of them...I'll be making more if they work well.

Those look like Glaser Safety Slugs! Hey, you could market those as a high tech tacti-cool defense bullet for $1 each! It'd be like winning the lottery!:happy dance:

Ammosmith,

They look great. Are you going to show us how you made them? Do you have shot for the core or is it a solid core?

Thanks

I'll be making a video this week on it. I'll show how to make a flat point and a radius point. It's a compressed #9 shot core. The core weighs 74grs.

I may try a hollow point of this as well.

I'd like to find #12 snake shot...make the whole process faster and easier. I did spill about a pound of shot the other day setting up. What a pain to clean up.

Ammo,

Did you ever get a chance to make this video? I am very interested and did purchase some #12 shot which I have been loading 38 capsules for snake shot rounds.

Thanks

A portion of it. They work great and penetrate better than Glasers do. I need to edit the video.

Ammo,

Are you just pouring the shot into the jacket and sealing it off with the pellet or are you using any pressing of the shot to make it more firm of a core?

Thanks

I'm compressing it.

With .224 bullets in .223 Remington I found it was best to use larger shot #9 would not penetrate into a coyote and often did not exit possum on broad side shot. I am trying to make bullets with 40 gauge copper sheet so far am having some accuracy problems. Will post if I get bugs worked out.
