I am going to be looking for monotype and linotype. Before I start my quest, I'd like to get a feel for what I should be paying for each? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Linotype runs from $1.00 to $3.00 per pound. That covers everything from Linotype? to true and known content Linotype metal in type form.

I would not sell mine for any less than $2.00 per pound! Anything below $1.60 per pound is a steal if it is the real thing!

Hope you find a deal, they are still out there! I have no clue on Mono as I do not buy or use it!

I picked up foundry type a couple of years ago at $1.65/lb shipped. I got about 40 pounds of it at the time and haven't used any of it yet...

I was considering hoarding any lino/mono/foundry type that I found for use, but then I realized I can get any hardness I need just by heat treating and water dropping. Makes it more affordable!

I bought 150# about 2yrs ago for $1/# locally. I would certainly pay more, upto $2/# is not a bad price.
