Spoke with CH-4d. Seems they are behind in getting these swage dies put together but I was told since I only order the die bodies and do not need all the extra internial parts I could get dies sooner. I was told about a 4 week wait. They will have plenty of dies to cover our needs and I will be accepting orders to any of you interested.

Please post here with intrest and send me a PM to confirm order and arrange payments.

All these dies will be set up with my heavy duty internials. Cost is $175 for the 44 one step die and $350 for the 45 cal 2 die set.

Shipping date will be determined by lead time from Ch and the time it takes me to make the parts and put the dies together. As always quality will come first in the event of any delays on my part.

Here is a pic of the last 45 cal set I put together and exactly what this offer would include for the 45 or .458 set of dies.

Thanks, good shooting and Swage On!

Figure I can also offer .458 dies too. I'm getting really good at lapping dies and will simply lap a 45 cal die up to .457 or .458. $50 additional charge on top of the 2 die price.

How heavy of a bullet will the .458 die make?

I made them as heavy as 425 grains with the modified CH dies. Seems like I could have gone a bit more.

Sent a long Pm to DDriller :)

You know I want to turn some of these .40 S&W into .45 ACP. Once they get about 10 reloads on them I need to turn them into boolits.

Well since I am lucky enough to own a set of BT .458" dies I will post a pic to save Brian some time. The 427 gr. SP in the pic was made by Brian and was some of the samples he sent .

I have mainly been focusing on the lighter weight bullets for my .458 SOCOM but eventually will be working on heavier weights for shooting in my .460 Weatherby. I figure I will cut down some .308 cases for a longer jacket so there is less exposed lead.

So in the pic you will see L to R:

.45 ACP round for comparison
250 gr. JHP – made with a 40 S&W case
310 gr. JHP
325 gr. JHP Small Cavity
325 gr. JHP Large Cavity – tried cleaning up the lead squeezed out
350 gr. JSP
427 gr. JSP dual cannelure
400 gr. JSP Speer
500 gr. JSP Hornady
