I have been shooting the Cast Performance 265gr RNFPGC in my Ragin Bull with great success. It shoots very good out to 100yds and no leading what so ever has been noted. I don't know the weight off the top of my head, but I know I worked it up until I could fit no more under the bullet and still get a crimp. So more or less it's to the bottom of the bullet.
Now I have a mold the Lee 300gr RNFP GC, which I had poured up, lubed twice with LLA, once before seating the GC and once after. I was figuring on using the 297 with them as with the CP's. I poured up 50ea of air cooled and water quenched. I pulled out 25 of each to do load work up with.
In order to back off and work back up, would a 2gr below the base of the bullet load seem about right, or do you think I might need to drop it more?
