how do you all deal with them
I was shooting today (97°here today)and my hands were so sweaty made my gun slippery
and almost unmanageable to shoot (Ruger Bisley 45 colt)

I have a pair of tight fitting thin leather gloves with the fingers and thumbs cut off. It helps.

In competition, I always had some rosin on the shooting bench. Pat my hand on the rosin pile, and press on.

I cure that by putting the guns away and heading to a nice dark air conditioned bar. Cold beer does wonders for lowering body temperature!

Seriously though, when I've needed a glove on a hot day, or when the trap gun gets too hot to hold, I use a thin lightweight golf glove. Cheaper than shooting gloves and they'll sell you a half-pair if that's all you need.

A fist of fine dirt from the ground. Grab it and brush/clap it off.

Perfect for rubber grips.

I keep a polishing rag in the range bag, big chunk of sweatshirt material. It works for oil, sweat, lube, etc. All purpose towel made from old sweatpants. Flannel works too.

As a pathetic sweaty fat guy, my bag always has a pitcher's rosin bag in it.

Golf gloves - leather. Had them for years. They now smell ... but they help keep a good grip. 'Tuck

Yeper on the golf gloves. Very thin and well fitting. I usually just wear the one on my shooting hand and I cut the tip of the index finger from that one. If they are not sweaty, I wet them a little for a better grip.

I plan on shooting a flint shotgun at Friendship over the next few days, black powder, veggie oil lube on the wads and hi temps/ humidity. the front of work pants work till they get slick then use the seat.

I use rosin. I have a chunk of it I got at a rodeo store and a pouch of it I got at a baseball store.

The chunky stuff seems to work better -- or, at least, I can get it rubbed into my skin better.

First thing I do, before the first stage of a match, is put the rosin on. Don't leave home without it.

Part II - a glove is a no-no in competition, so had to make do with the rosin, which worked fine. I had it in a glass shaker in my gun box. Shake some out on the bench. pat my palm in it, and press on. Shot in uniform, so the pants leg or seat was not available. Still in the gun box, still available. The pitcher's rosin bag makes a lot of sense.

White Eagle: Like you, I have some revolvers in .45 caliber - couple of Ruger Bisleys plus a Dan Wesson. When loaded with heavy boolits especially, they will come right back at you and are hard to hold onto. Sweaty hands makes it even more difficult to hang onto them. The golf gloves I use were a little on the expensive side (I thought) but work well. I don't shoot my .45s without them. 'Tuck

A good job of checkering does wonders.

I tried that.
I got three blisters during the first 40 round match with my Dan Wesson 44.
I went with Pachmyers, then the gloves about two weeks later. I shot my first 40 (100%) the weekend I used them.
I looked at several other gloves but did not like any of them. I went with the thin, and more expensive, golf gloves because of ease of finding and how they fit like a second skin.
I cut the tip out of the index finger because my Remington XP had a 1-1/2 oz trigger by then.

I sweat like a pig. It runs in my eyes and glasses. Glasses fog and when I put muffs on, they fog worse because I stop breathing through my ears! :bigsmyl2:
But I am lucky, my palms do not sweat. I can handle guns without causing rust.
I just need to wear a mop on my head! :holysheep

Unscented antiperspirant.

Unscented so my hands don't smell like my pits.

Already 12 humid days over 90, and no let up in sight. I carry a Sham-Wow to wipe with and rosin for grip.
My forehead is a waterfall and the bugs crawl down my neck from under the muffs.
It's either the indoor range or shoot before 10:00, till Fall.
